The models for many of these pieces are dogs and cats that were at one time housed at the Elmbrook Humane Society in Brookfield, WI.
We wanted to capture their resilient spirit in our artwork. The good news is that they have all been adopted out to good homes!
The need is certainly great for people to adopt pets from their local animal shelters. Shelter animals may be perceived by some as discarded pets or undesirable for some reason. This is far from true. In our experience, these animals are more than ready to be loved and will give back to you more than you can possibly imagine.
